Disco Time

Phase One a Roadshow can come every week for extra physical fitness lessons, aka the school disco. Most parents may be curled up on the sofa in blissful peace and quiet tonight but the wonderful parents of  the PTA are here at the Summer Disco ensuring safe, but loud, fun!

Perfect Presentation Awards

Children have been working hard this term on improving the presentation of their written work. These children have been nominated by their teacher for having made the greatest improvement! During assembly the children were presented with perfect presentation bugs and then shared drinks and nibbles to celebrate.

3/4T, 4CH and 4M visit West Stow

What a great time we had at West Stow! It was a super ‘hands on’ experience where the children explored Anglo-Saxon houses and handled artefacts in the museum. Everyone enjoyed the day and the behaviour was excellent. Thank you to all of our wonderful helpers for making the trip possible.

Elisha said, ‘I really enjoyed going into the house with the fire, because it gave me experience of life in Anglo-Saxon times.’
Gemma said, ‘I really liked walking round the houses.’
Michael said, ‘I liked the museum, because I got to see the Sutton Hoo helmet.’

FJS Cross Country Success

On Friday 3rd October, Fakenham Junior School took a team of 25 children to run at a regional Cross Country event at Gresham’s school in Holt. There were 33 other schools competing in the boys and girls Under 9 and Under 11 events.
After walking the course, the boys under 9’s set off first, followed by the girls under 9’s, the boys under 11’s and finally the girls under 11’s.
It was perfect weather for the event and FJS had some results to match the excellent sunshine! Callum Wright finished 6th out of 190 in the boys u9’s race and Travis Fletcher finished 10th out of over 200 in the boys u11’s! The boys u11’s came 3rd in the team event and the boys u9’s won the team event (which had been won by Gresham’s for 6 of the last 8 years!)
Everyone who went was a credit to the school and it was a brilliant day!
