6H and 3H team up for paired reading

Ahead of FJS book week, 3H and 6H had a lovely session of paired reading. 6H gave out reading tips and shared their favourite authors with their partners.

Disco Time

 
Phase One a Roadshow can come every week for extra physical fitness lessons, aka the school disco. Most parents may be curled up on the sofa in blissful peace and quiet tonight but the wonderful parents of  the PTA are here at the Summer Disco ensuring safe, but loud, fun!

A sneaky peak at the year 3 assembly

This afternoon year 3 had their dress rehearsal for their assembly ‘A North American Adventure’.  The year 4s watched as well as the year 2s making a special visit from the infant school.  

Year 3 can’t wait to show their parents and the rest of the school!

   

       

Football tournament

Some children from year 3 and 4 took part in a football tournament in Norwich. They really enjoyed the day and played some great football. 



Perfect Presentation Awards

Children have been working hard this term on improving the presentation of their written work. These children have been nominated by their teacher for having made the greatest improvement! During assembly the children were presented with perfect presentation bugs and then shared drinks and nibbles to celebrate.

Year 3 become bird experts!

This morning Mrs Carter came in to talk about all the different types of birds they might find in their garden and the local area. It was really interesting to find out so many different facts.
The children also found about about the RSPB as well who work to protect birds and their habitats.

Spring playground buddies

Welcome to our new playground buddies who have been nominated for their super skills. They will be helping out during play times and using the buddy bench when others need it.

Year 3&4 enjoy their school Christmas dinner

Year 3&4 enjoyed their Christmas dinner complete with crackers, turkey and Christmas pudding. A very festive lunch!

Year 3 visit the Christmas Tree festival

Every year there is a Christmas tree festival in the local church raising awareness and money for local charities as well as getting the Christmas spirit going in Fakenham.
Year 3 went and had a look round the festival and were amazed by all the bright colours, lights and beautiful decorations which they saw.
The festival is open to the public for the next week beginning 27th November.

3W and 3H visit West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

Today 3W and 3H visited West Stow Anglo Saxon village as part of their topic. They explored reconstructed Anglo Saxon houses and looked around the museum. Whilst there they were able to handle a range of objects and try on traditional Anglo Saxon clothes. It was a brilliant day.
